...and yet another goodbye!

I just said goodbye to our fifth group of the summer and it was difficult. It has been awesome to meet so many new people from so many different places, but I hate the feeling that is left as i watch the group leave. This was a mixed group of 45 people...we had groups from Nebraska, New York, Fresno. Cali., and Florida...all bringing something new to the group as a whole. I really enjoyed the girls that worked in sped (special education) with me. One of the girls, Brittney, was down here three years ago and remembered one of the boys, Rojelio, but this boy is no longer going to the school. I, as well, was here three years ago and remember this boy so we had something to talk about. The best part is that Mercedes took us to go and see him and then he came and spent a whole day at the school. He is now 15 years old and has grown up so much. i think he is such a doll! Another hard part about this weekend is that i also had to say goodbye to Kit-Kat (katilyn) this morning. She was a summer intern and worked in the school with me. She had such a heart for the kids and loved them with everything she had. I am really going to miss her and all the good times and talks that we had. TEAR! The good part about my weekend was the two-hour ride with austin. He is also leaving, but not until tomorrow afternoon so he wanted to go out one last time on Jose's bike! omg...it was amazing. we went up and over the mountains and the view was incredible. i love to ride and it is so much better here 'cuz you don't go as fast and you don't have to wear a helmet so we were able to talk the whole time. the weather was also AMAZING! awww....i love it here.
